MY STORY

How Miki's Patisserie started

 

It all started for me over 6 years ago when I made my first birthday cake, a teddy bears picnic, and fell in love with the art of cake decorating and artisan baking. Since then, I have graduated with a Diploma in Patisserie from AUT, won a National cake decorating title, learnt from some of the best cake decorators and pastry chefs and started my own small business.

 

Miki's Patisserie was created because I wanted to share my creations and experiences with others, and share my journey as I developed as a pastry chef. I always liked to call it a patisserie as I not only loved to work with cakes but also chocolates, bread, slices, cookies and much more. 

 

The best part of what I do is getting to see peoples reactions when they see the final products. I love the emotion that a simple cake can bring to a persons special day and the memories it creates. As a cake decorator and pastry chef, my main goal is to produce the perfect product for my customers both in looks and taste, to help create a wonderful experience.
